(April 24, 2002) Ideal Rentals exhibited at the CSEME show here in Calgary on April 22 and offered $ 250.00 prize for people who dropped their business card in our cookie jar.  The winner of the draw was "June Hills" from the Kensington BRZ so now she (or the BRZ perhaps) gets "free stuff"  What a deal!

(December 2001) Ideal Party Rentals has been named as an official tent rental supplier for the Global Petroleum Show in June of 2002.

(November 2001) Ideal Party Rentals has been named as an official sponsor for the Canadian Mens Nokia Briar Curling Championships in March of 2002.

(November 21, 2001) A recommended seating capacity chart was added.  This is really handy and fast for figuring out how big a tent you need for your party.

(January 14, 2001)  www.StampedeParty.com is up and running now for all your Stampede Week party needs in Calgary.  Check it out for all the food, fixin's and info you'll need for a great time.  This site has everything from food menus to turn-key party sites downtown for 1200 guests and up to 10,000 people capacity under huge tents located at Fort Calgary.

Here is a list of some of the items that have been added to our inventory as of June 1, 2000.

• Roll top chafer dishes.  Rectangle shaped, round, and oval.   These are great for when you want an elegant presentation for corporate functions or weddings.
  
  
• Silver coffee samovar in 55 cup and 35 cup sizes.
  
  
• A new dish line called Dynasty Gold.  It's white with gold band edging and has been very popular for weddings functions.
  
  
• Ceremonial ribbon cutting scissors that cut just like a real pair of scissors.  They are 2 ft. in length and the premier of Alberta, Ralph Klein, used them recently to open the new Stampede exhibition expansion in May of 2000.
  
  
• Biljax multi-stage.  Although we've had these a while, it hasn't been mentioned on our web page yet.  These are excellent portable staging components that are fully adjustable from 6" up to 48" high.  They can be set up in tiers for choirs and as standard stages for large outdoor events, music festivals, fashion shows and VIP platforms.   Each section is 4'x4' and we also have the 2'x4' and 45 degree angle sections for versatile installation.  We have custom size skirting in various heights and you can also have hand rails and steps as required.
  
  
• Snap drape table skirting in white and cream colors.  These are the same ones that most of five star hotels use and they attach to the tables with button-on clips.  Although our standard skirting is good for most applications, snap-drape skirts have superior fabric and gathered pleating that many of the event designers prefer for corporate functions and higher budget weddings.
  
  
• Portable sound podiums.  One is a beautifully finished blond oak model and has a built in PA system that comes with a standard gooseneck microphone and also a wireless lapel clip-on microphone.  The other podium is dark grey fabric and also has the built in wireless or standard microphone.  The best feature about these podiums are that they can be used with 110 v power or battery operated for outdoor use when power isn't handy.  Additional "pony" speakers are also available for either system for large rooms.
  
  
• Flooring, flooring and more flooring.  We have lots of plywood flooring for tents and outdoor dance floors, but we also have snap lock flooring made for special events.  This particular kind is excellent for setting up in tents or on asphalt parking lots to use as a dance floor, tent floor or food tent for health inspections.  It comes in plain black stock for general use and also we have the faux black marble which can be used indoors or out.
  
  
• Antique chandelier street lights with matching park benches.  We always had requests for these to use as accessories for weddings and display show rest areas.  Now you can request them too!
  
  
• Padded stacking office chairs with chrome frame.  Use these for business conferences and also for weddings with a white chair cover and sash.
